Beautiful CARTAGENA Columbia
This place has a UNESCO World Heritage listing and deserves every bit of it. Its one of the best places I’ve been in terms of an old city complete as it was in colonial days.
Stayed in the same place as Roger and Glenys so we did a bit together for meals and went our own ways for the sightseeing apart from the walk back from getting our passports back from the yacht’s agent who did the immigration. We saw a neighbourhood game of baseball being played in a blocked off street, how cool is that?. The old city wall is largely intact and there are some great buildings and street sculptures inside. Outside at the back is the great fort that used to protect the city from attack from the land and there were a lot of forts down the harbour approaches to protect from the sea.
