Arequipa 2nd lagest city in Peru

I left Nazca about 9 pm on another overnight bus, this time to Arequipa. This city has about 1 million people and is mainly a tourist base to explore the surrounding Canyon country. Into another hotel for about $12US and then found a camera place where they got my camera going again after taking a few falls sandboarding and getting sand in it.The city itself had the usual assortment of nice square, cathedral and lots of Colonial buildings and Inca remains.. Yep I can hear it too!!!!---sounds like I'm getting sick of seeing the same stuff all the time.
I did a tour the next morning starting at 3am that went out to the Colca Canyon and it was beautiful and had some amazing Condors flying about. These birds have a huge wingspan only appreciated when you saw them in relation to a human figure as they flew past them. This was another highlight for the trip to keep me moving along.
