One of the great sights on Earth. They certainly know how to do an Abbey in France and this was my 2nd time here and just as good. Things have changed since the late 80's when you could free camp right at the foot of this wonderful place. Now they have lots of parking well back with free transit buses. They know how to charge campers assuming you are going to free camp they charge 21 euros for any stay over 1 hour . We should have parked in the car section and maybe our cost for 4 hours would have been more reasonable. Having said all that its worth it and the weather improved after we waited out one nasty shower when we got there. The Abbey is definitely worth a visit and the amount of rooms and views takes a while to do and then the cute alleyways and shops as you come down just ask to be used so we had lunch there.
