MIZEN HEAD--starring Crookhaven and Barley Cove

Well we did this Peninsula without actually going to Mizen Head because we would have been too late out there to make it across the bridge that closes at 5pm. It would have been good to visit the old signalling Station. Anyway we saw lots of great scenery so check the photos of Crookhaven and a well known surf spot of Barley Cove

Gokane Pt

cant believe I was so impressed with a view out along this point that we stayed for lunch but forgot to take a photo amazing!! woops I found one!!!

For the Kiwi girls--naked ladies!!!

well they are only flowers but well known in NZ

Drombeg Stone Circle

some remains here of stone age worship and village life

SW CNR-Galley Head

there were waves here and once again you couldn,t get out to the end of Galley Head with the lighthouse people blocking the way

The Michael Collins Centre

One of the great heroes of Irish resistance to British rule. A good movie starring Liam Neeson

SW CNR--Old Head to Lispatrick Beach

After the bad weather of Kinsale and Old Head we didn't get too much further to a place where some guys were surfing in 3-4 ft junk and we free camped with some other vans. Rained had stopped in the morning and it was smaller and cleaner in the surf

THE WILD ATLANTIC WAY

Ireland have made  a route up that follows the Atlantic Ocean around all the laneways and roads which in a country that is only a couple of hundred miles long ends up being 1500 miles long. ITS DROP DEAD GEORGEOUS !!!! and we will split it up into the various Rings or peninsulas and try to keep them in order South to North

Kinsale & Old Head Golf Club

it was wet in KInsale and also wild out at Old Head. Didn't know there was a millionaires golf course out there which stop people from reaching the headland . We bluffed our way past security who was really worried about the dress code and managed to get in there for a look around---240 euros a game to lose a 1000 balls in those conditions !! ha ha

Crosshaven--Japan beat SA Pepe and Patrice met

Ireland 's 1st game and Japan beat SA. Nice pub called Cronins and we met some great people including Pepe from Magnetic Island and his Irish lady Patrice

CROSSHAVEN near Cork

aahhh! but its great to be back in Ireland with all the smiles. Some nice views of the entrance to Cork harbour which is the 2nd biggest in the world. You can all guess which is bigger ????
