SANTA MARTA Columbia

SANTA MARTA
Just to the north of Cartagena is the pretty little town of Santa Marta which is basically the base for visiting the Tyrona National Park and the Sierra Nevada mountains which hid the recently discovered Pereida (lost city).I thought about the time I had available and decided to just spend the one day and night here and move on to the 2nd biggest city in Columbia, Medellin. Santa Marta had some nice streets and the beach was so so . If you go out to the fishing village of  Taganga the beach is better. I finally said goodbye to Roger and Glenys who had been good company since meeting on the yacht to Columbia. Went out to the bus station and fluked a bus leaving in 30 mins and a good price of $50 for a 14 hrs trip
