when we got back to HK from Macau day trip we had a farewell dinner at our hotel before going out to the Airport to meet a 5.30am check in for the leg to Singapore and then have a 10 hour connection wait. Ah its all just part of the game of trying to get around the planet for the least cost. So thanks to everyone who gave us a like or comment on Facebook and we're very happy you enjoyed tuning in from time to time or every blog. Catch you all again next year about the same time and duration. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the flesh

Macau old town area
get away from all that glitz and enjoy the great walking areas connecting the major sites in the old town
The Macau Galaxy
bigger than 5 shopping centres and incoroprating 3 or 4 hotels and big areas of gaming tables this is immense reflecting unbridled wealth and misery. And this is just one of the new ones built on the new islands opened up by the bridge building. Pity they can't do something about the pollution as well.
Nice couple met on the Macau ferry
Miro and Dorothy helped us on the way over to Macau with advice about this Island on the coast of China. Its an hour by high speed Turbojet from HK and has grown like crazy since I was there in the late 80's. New casinos going up on reclaimed land and bridges joining everything up. We got a good deal of trip there and Back plus a great lunch in a Korean restaurant. The rest of the time was spent gaping at this Las Vegas of the Orient
Kings Park Kowloon at our hotel
saw this gem through the trees from our hotel window when we were here before Hainan so we explored it this time and Liz used it for her run the next day
Spot X--1 km walk
while Riyue Bay struggled for size this reef down toward the bridge gets more swell and less surfers cause everyone is too lazy to walk down there
Hainan local surfers
Not super hot but on the way and still very giving to old farts. The camels that wander around thought it looked like fun too

RIYUE BAY-Waiting for the swell
we arrived late Wed and here on Fri morning we are waiting for a swell due this evening. Pretty nice place that hasn't been changed too much yet. Great hotel apart from there being no english spoken by any of the staff
