The countryside on the way over to the west coast from Letterkenny was riverside drive followed by forestry followed by rocky low country with lots of small lakes. To the north were the high Mountains of the Glenveagh National Park which we will travel through when we return to Carrowkeel to get the boards. The cottage was at Coughglass very close to Burtonport which is the ferry point to the Arranmore Islands. The Island does well from tourism but Burtonport looks a bit "sad". The cottage is right at the end of a skinny lane that goes on for a couple of kms to the sea. Views to die for, friendly fisherman neighbour,50m to the sand and sea, lots of granite islets and a charming cottage. We can do this for a few days, yeah!
