Looking for a wave and Biscarrosse had offshore wind but close out 4-5 ft dumpers so we headed south again and tried Contis Plage. All of this coast is the same with high dunes and straight long beaches. The waves were there but a strong shift in the wind to sideshore and rippy . So one last try at Cap d' Homy thinking Cap meant Cape and that could give some protection from the wind--mais non!! Back to Contis which had camping for the camping car (Aires) and set up in a sheltered spot. Aires camping is for self contained motorhomes or vans and are a lot cheaper than campgrounds and this one had cold showers toilets drinking water and chemical toilet dump and cost the princely sum of 13 euros. Went for a late walk after tea and got lucky with some jazz at the beachside cafe and watched the sun go down over the sea
